As Bishop Duca’s notice today mentioned, within the next several days we can expect direction pertaining to provisions for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the Sacrament of Marriage, the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, Funeral Rites, and Baptisms Outside of Mass. Almost all of the above content was discussed in an emergency and lengthy conference call meeting earlier tonight with our Parish Pastoral Council. St. Aloysius keeps the health, safety, and security of our parishioners and assigned clergy at the forefront at all times. Out of an abundance of caution, we are following news and information about the spread of COVID-19 and will take all necessary actions to the best of our ability to ensure the physical, spiritual, and pastoral well-being of all. Ministry leaders will be devising means of keeping our parishioners ‘connected’ and our ministries active through more use of appropriate and existing electronic communications platforms, and collaborating to explore how we can best help our families who are most adversely impacted by measures being implemented to protect us all. Our Child Care Center remains open to help the parents it serves who need it the most, especially those themselves made unable to remain at home with their children by work obligations and are without family members who can do so for them. During this time, consider taking advantage of the subscription St. Aloysius has provided to all its families to all the resources for family members of all ages at the FORMED website, which can be accessed by the link posted at our website: www.church.aloysius.org. Check our Facebook® page, and our website for updates as the situation develops. I will be sending the same updates via more of these e-blast email messages as new information becomes available. In this time of upheaval in all our lives, we unite all our sacrifices and deprivations in this Season of Lent, identifying with time of isolation and trials of Jesus and his 40 days in the desert..over all of which He prevailed and was victorious! May God bless you and keep you safe! Yours in Our Good Shepherd, Father Randy
