Our trip to San Antonio is open to recently-graduated 8th graders from St. Aloysius parish. It's a four-day bus trip, and the 2017 dates are June 4 - 7. Space is limited; the first seventy-six teens to register are admitted.
This may be the best event we host - during the days we visit amusement parks and water parks, and in the evenings at our hotel we get together for evening devotionals, which include praise and worship music, testimonies, icebreaker games, prayer, and spiritual challenges.
We recruit nineteen Junior Chaperones from our high school youth group to serve as mentors to these newly-minted freshmen! The JCs plan evening devotionals, lead small groups, and generally work to help their freshmen acclimate to high school and a high school faith.
We will distribute registration forms at the JHYG meeting on Sunday, January 24th and via email.
This mission trip is organized by the incomparable Fr. Michael Alello in his parish of St. Philomena in Labadieville. High school teens are invited to participate in this four-day mission trip, beginning Wednesday evening and ending Sunday evening. Visit Fr. Michael's website for more information!
The dates of the 2016 mission are Wednesday, June 22nd to Sunday, June 26th.
While at the mission teens grow in their spirituality and relationship with God through evening programming lead by Fr. Michael. During the day teens work on repairing and painting homes, yard work, and visiting the elderly.
We will distribute registration forms for all HSYG summer trips at the Life Night on Sunday, January 10th and via email.
The Vacherie mission is an astonishing experience which changes the hearts of everyone who attends. Hosted at Our Lady of Peace church in Vacherie, Louisiana, this mission is a collaboration between St. Aloysius, St. Isidore, and Our Lady of Peace. Teens attend for a full week, from Sunday morning to Saturday at noon, and earn 40 service hours.
The dates of the 2017 Vacherie mission are Sunday, July 9th to Saturday, July 15th.
It feels like a week-long slumber party with your friends! Days are spent on your worksite, in a small group of six to eight teens (plus two adults) who are tasked with cleaning, sanding/scraping, and repainting a home. Evenings involve icebreaker games, praise and worship music, speakers, teen-lead prayer, dance parties, confession, adoration, and more!
Find out why the vast majority of our registrants every year are repeat customers!
We will distribute registration forms for all HSYG summer trips at a Life Night in January and via email.
